Year 4 student achieves 70 words per minute

I love to type. It’s always been my passion. But I was not always a fast typist. It all started one day when my best friend and I had finished our typing test. We did not approve of our scores we got in the test. My friend suggested that we go into the computer lab to practise our typing. He also added that we would receive mini merits. So I agreed and we went to the computer lab that day. We went two times a week. But after a while I did not see much improvement in myself so I decided to go every single time the computer lab was opened. After Year 3 finished I continued on typing every day in Year 4. I saw a massive improvement, getting a top score of 70 words per minute. I came top over the grades above and below me, receiving the fastest typist award in the school in 2016. I try to receive top scores, practising every day to try and reach my goal of creating a new school record.
