The Typequick CD contains an installation program and data files which will guide you through the installation of the Typequick product.
The Typequick installation program is actually a set of programs, one for each platform that the Typequick product can operate on. The various versions of the installation program are together on the CD, but in separate folders. You should select the version appropriate to your environment and cause that version to start running. For some environments the process is automatic and occurs when the CD is put into the CD drive. In others, you must explore the contents of the CD and find the version of the installation program that suits your environment.
The installation program is Java based, but in most cases loads its own Java Virtual machine onto the target machine even though there might be a version of Java already present there. The installation program through loading it's own JVM may be causing some duplication, however the result will be less disruptive to the target machine's operation.
The Java environment is somewhat more hungry for memory and processing resources than older machines may have available. Check the System Requirements topic before attempting to do an installation.
